FORMER TOUGH TALKING COP INTELLECTUALLY DENSE

I was shocked and then saddened when I read in yesterday's Globe and Mail, and couldn't believe that a former tough talking cop could be so intellectually dense. His comments that the longest serving City Councillor, Sam Sullivan, hasn't accomplished anything in his political career is so far fetched that the Senator comes off like an incoherent mouthpiece for his Vision party.

If Larry Campbell, believes his own propaganda, my god the Liberal controlled Senate is in big doggy doo. Who needs the Gomery report when you have the fat cat, bigmouth Senator spouting such ludicrous mumble jumble.

Mayoral candidate Sam Sullivan, besides being repeatedly elected to city council since 1993, is also an Order of Canada recipient. Mr. Sullivan has demonstrated leadership on disability issues. Bringing forward disability issues to the forefront of the political agenda, Mr. Sullivan has proven himself to be a strong leader. Moreover, Mr. Sullivan is a survivor. When a catastrophic injury levelled him, Mr. Sullivan fought back and went on to become a Hero in the Hearts and Minds of Vancouver, British Columbia and Canadian citizens.

Recently, Councillor Sullivan, led the KNOWards forces in the recent Yes or No to Wards referendum. Mr. Sullivan showed himself to be on the side of the majority. He beat Larry Campbell and Jim Green.
Since losing that battle, Mr. Green and Mr. Campbell have waged war against Mr. Sullivan.

While Sour grapes possibly could be fueling Mr. Campbell and the vision gang in their smears of Sam Sullivan but ironic in this is that Sam doesn't run from problems. He faces them head on and finds Solutions. If our city is ever in crises, Sam will not flee his city and fellow countrymen. He will build bridges and fight for his City and alongside its Citizens.

Luckily for us, the Liberals did the job for us voters and sent one intellectually dense politician off to Ottawa where his seat will provide him a long Undeserved rest.

Now all we have to do is send his compatriot packing. Voters will have this opportunity come Saturday, November 19, 2005.
