THE QUEEN AT IT AGAIN

Well it certainly has been a whirlwind of activity as all the candidates head into the home stretch of our campaigns.

First off, late last week, I was happy to receive a perfect score from Think City in their questionaire on Democracy. Next, I received an endorsement from David Wong of the generAsian Project. I am thrilled to receive this blessing from David. Thank You David!

Over the weekend, I received another endorsement from the alternative magazing the Only. To the one and Only--Thank You! I appreciate and am honoured by this!

On Thursday. I was a featured candidate on the cover at the WestEnder (WE) paper. I was happy to be featured! Thank You Sean and the West End gang!!

On Thursday November 10, at my Fundraiser at the LILIGET FEAST HOUSE, we were treated like Royalty. To all my supporters, I love you!! Special thanks go out to Chief Bill Wilson, Dolly Watts, Kelly McDonald, Sandra LaFramboise, Shirley Chan and Steve, Laura McDiarmid, Edna Brass, Bev Ballantyne and Colleen Hardwick Nystedt for making this evening extra special! Thank You my dear Friends!

Next day on Friday at 2pm, a small group of us placed Too Many Shoes at the Women's Monument to honour all the Missing and Murdered Women of the Downtown Eastside. It was a time to remind ourselves that we must continue speaking out until the Violence stops.

On Saturday, Eternal Abundance at 1025 Commercial once again welcomed us. Connecting with so many Drive voters was exciting. I can always count on interesting political debate on the Drive! I don't mind being challenged politically either. It was a great day!

On Sunday, I had a blast campaigning with Santa and the Elves at MeinHEARTS fine food. Being at 15th and Granville as the Queen (of Hearts) was fun. The people of South Granville loved us and I want to Thank Rick, the food concierge at Meinhart's who so graciously welcomed us. Thank You my beloved Rick Forde!

Later on Sunday afternoon, our campaign moved into the Davie Village and we set up stage at the corner of Bute and Davie. I think our entourage frightened off the Jim Green placard wavers as we were as Ru Paul would say Working It! Even the local leather bar, the Pumpjack warmly greeted us and allowed us to entertain the Boys in the Bar! Thanks to the Green Party and Bev Ballantyne who campaigned with us!

On Sunday evening, I performed at the WISE Hall. I enjoyed connecting with friends, Keenan and Noah who were raising awareness on issues of Violence. Thank You Keenan and Noah!

And while I was at the WISE, I was able to sneak over to the Cultch for the Mayoral debate. Although I couldn't stay long, it was indeed a pleasure being able to give a peck on the cheek to my Man Sam Sullivan and his wonderful partner Lynn! This Man is going to win On Saturday!

Monday, November 14 I had a great time at the Carnegie Centre all-candidate debate. A terrific crowd turned out and they articulated very well their political needs and concerns. Luckily Jim Green wasn't there, otherwise, the crowd would have nailed him. The meeting as usual was lively! Thank You to Carnegie and especially Muggs who moderated the meeting. Muggs has worked tirelessly for our community and should receive the Order of Canada for her social justice work!

My schedule this next week is a busy one. On Wednesday at 11am, I'll be touring the Aboriginal Mother Centre with the Director, Penny Irons and former Park Board Chair, Laura McDiarmid. At 7pm I'll be at the Get Your Vote On gig at the Lamplighter Bar. On Thursday, my campaign team and I travel to the Davie Village for our Gay Bar Tour. We will be visiting six different bars and catching Carlotta Gurls show at Sugar Daddies. On Friday, I'm joining other Vancouverites for the Eastside Culture Crawl in Strathcona.

Saturday, November 19, I'm voting at my neighborhood polling place, the Chinese Cultural Centre.

I owe a great deal of gratitude to my campaign team who have been simply amazing to me during this campaign. We had a great time and I owe a huge HEARTfelt Thank You to my Campaign Strategists, Ryan Warawa, Dan Grice and Laura McDiarmid. Thank You so much to my Volunteer Co-ordinator Ron Herbert who has done a terrific job for us. To my personal assistant, Danielle, Thank You. To my Creative Team, James Loewen, Rozamond Norbury, Diane Holme and Jaylene, Thank You Thank You Thank You! To m agent, Holly Gardner, Thank You!

See you on Saturday folks!
